BIO

I am an Artist based in Portland Oregon specializing in black and grey tattooing. My preferred style of tattooing is naturalism, combining elements of nature and design. I always strive to have my work flow with my clients body so it is incorporated by its thoughtful placement/design rather than isolated. Within this style I use both photographic reference as well as drawn elements. My favorite imagery to compose pulls heavily from nature and realistic portrait subjects.

Background

I was born in Baltimore City. My Family is split between the United States and Italy. My mother is a Baltimore native and comes from a family of Artists. My father is Italian and relocated to the US to pursue a career in medicine.

I am heavily influenced by my roots combining aspects of Italian heritage, passion, workmanship, and art history with the natural eye and art techniques gifted to me by my mothers' side. Getting the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time in Italy shaped my taste in Art and design.

I went to competitive art schools for high school, Baltimore School for the Arts, and college, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. In both schools I focused on drawing and oil painting which served me well when I made the jump to Tattooing.

I continue to paint in my spare time out of the tattoo shop. It is a discipline that continues to challenge me and progress all of my artistic pursuits.
